Where This Began
The Moment I Realized Something Was Missing
We hosted my daughter’s wedding on Amelia Island a couple years ago in April, one of the busiest seasons on the island. With spring break travel, peak wedding season, and major annual events such as the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival and Concours week, reservations fill quickly and availability becomes limited. Guests traveled in from California, South Dakota, New York, and Georgia, and my focus was entirely on the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and ensuring the wedding itself was flawless. And it was. The weather was perfect, the sunset breathtaking, and the evening filled with celebration.
But when several guests, including my daughter’s new in-laws, extended their stay, I realized I hadn’t arranged post-wedding plans or helped secured dining reservations. During such a busy season, options were scarce, and what should have felt relaxed became unexpectedly stressful.
It was in that moment I understood the difference between planning a wedding and truly hosting a seamless destination experience. Amelia Wedding Concierge was created to bridge that gap, ensuring every wedding weekend feels complete from arrival to farewell.
